Cristiana couceiro biography of christopher

Post a Comment. Sunday, 28 April Cristiana Couceiro.

A lovely instance of constructivist inspired design in this week’s New York Times Book Review led me to the work of illustrator Cristiana Couceiro.

After finding her work during my research, I've since looked at Cristiana Couceiro and her style in more detail and absolutely love it. Below are a few of my favourite pieces:. Illustration for Fortune article "Where the women are: Online", October Personal work: graphic patchwork experiences. I purchased the below book, Echoes of the Future Gestalten, , which showcases modern work from new, young, up-and coming designers and illustrators who use past design styles in their work to create a new aesthetic - a fusion of new and old examples from book also shown below.

Echoes of the Future Gestalten, I feel Couceiro's work is definitely of the same style, hence why I like it so much.

Cristiana Couceiro's artwork is the kind that will never cease to amaze you with the variety of colours and depth.

I love the carefully chosen colour palettes, the graphical shapes mixed with black and white photographic material - it indeed reminds me of design styles from the past but with a modern twist, as with the work in Echoes of the Future. My postcard project has introduced me to this style and I believe it will heavily influence the outcome of this brief, plus my work going forward.
